The Council is composed of both national waste and recycling companies and affiliated state and sector based associations representing the interests of the more than 450 waste management and resource recovery businesses across Australia.

NWRIC works to advance Australia’s waste and resource recovery industry. Key to this mission is a commitment to high standards in regard to policy development, industry representation and transparency.
Resources
Our industry generates economy wide revenue of $50b per annum ($16b directly and $34b through flow on effects). Collectively we support over 106,500 jobs, employing 36,500 people directly and 70,500 indirectly.
